The bridge was lifting and twisted, and there was a bit of a belly happening. I experimented with a “bridge-on” belly reduction by cutting a hardwood caul to fit between the X bracing under the bridge. Then I clamped the bridge lightly and used a clothes steamer to soften the belly and the bridge, slowly tightening the clamps until everything was flush. Then I let it sit overnight to stabilize. The next morning everything held shape nicely and all I had to do was inject some glue under the bridge and clamp it again for another day. Everything turned out great.
